文様は蒔絵で一筆ごとに丁寧に雪月花を描いてあります。蒔絵とは絵付けの一種で、漆で絵や文様、文字などを描き、それが乾かないうちに金や銀などの金属粉を「蒔く」ことで絵模様を表したものです。蒔絵の絵付けは立体感があり、高級感が溢れています。記念品やプレゼントに天然木を使用した輪島塗の絶品はいかがでしょう。

About Araki Urushi Pottery

Nanao suffered two major fires, in April 1895 and November 1905, and no records of the past remain. The only thing that remains is a boat chest containing lacquerware with the inscription "Kaei 7, February, Year of the Tiger, Shinjo Masahiro." Looking into the temple's past records, we find that the first Masanori of Ipponsugicho was called Atarashiya, not Araki, and his shop name was Shinmasa. It is said that he was a peddler of Wajima lacquerware from that time.
