背中の透かしが桜の花びらをかたどってありハート型のさくらの花びらがアクセントとなっています。また赤絵の唐草文様はシルクロード経由で奈良時代に渡来したと言われ蔓草の生命力を発展に結び付けて一種の吉祥文様として使われている文様です。

 

寝顔がやさしいですね！この猫香炉、猫好きの方にはたまらない商品だと思います。まるで日向ぼっこをする猫ちゃんですね。眺めているだけでほっこりと和ませてくれる香炉です。

About Araki Urushi Pottery

Nanao suffered two major fires, in April 1895 and November 1905, and no records of the past remain. The only thing that remains is a boat chest containing lacquerware with the inscription "Kaei 7, February, Year of the Tiger, Shinjo Masahiro." Looking into the temple's past records, we find that the first Masanori of Ipponsugicho was called Atarashiya, not Araki, and his shop name was Shinmasa. It is said that he was a peddler of Wajima lacquerware from that time.
