九谷毛筆細字は、明治33年小田清山によって始められその後、田村金星が技法を受け継ぎ九谷 毛筆細字の技法・画風が確立されました。

細字技法は九谷焼工芸技術独自のものであり、清山、金星、敬星と三代に亘り、秘伝が受け継がれました。

 

洋盃の内部に百人一首を全部書き込む細字も、現代九谷の一つの特微とされています。

九谷焼に文字を描くことを考え出したきっかけは何だったのでしょうか？そんな質問など笑い飛ばされてしまいそうな達者な筆使いは「これでもか!」というほど細かな細字で、その迫力には圧巻です。

究極の書の達人ともいえますね。

About Araki Urushi Pottery

Nanao suffered two major fires, in April 1895 and November 1905, and no records of the past remain. The only thing that remains is a boat chest containing lacquerware with the inscription "Kaei 7, February, Year of the Tiger, Shinjo Masahiro." Looking into the temple's past records, we find that the first Masanori of Ipponsugicho was called Atarashiya, not Araki, and his shop name was Shinmasa. It is said that he was a peddler of Wajima lacquerware from that time.
