山田先生の作品は、小鳥や山野草など四季折々の自然がのびやかなタッチと鮮やかな彩色で描かれています。それは工房近くの野山へ出かけ、そこに咲く花や木の実をスケッチされているそうです。

 

美しい自然を色絵磁器の技法と自らの表現力で描かれています。そのまま床の間や玄関先に飾っていただいても絵になる花瓶です。また、お花や枝を一輪生けるだけで空間にさりげない彩りを添えてくれます。

About Araki Urushi Pottery

Nanao suffered two major fires, in April 1895 and November 1905, and no records of the past remain. The only thing that remains is a boat chest containing lacquerware with the inscription "Kaei 7, February, Year of the Tiger, Shinjo Masahiro." Looking into the temple's past records, we find that the first Masanori of Ipponsugicho was called Atarashiya, not Araki, and his shop name was Shinmasa. It is said that he was a peddler of Wajima lacquerware from that time.
