石畳とは石を積み上げたように見える古九谷で最も古い幾何学文様です。神社仏閣、参道などに用いられる石畳をデザイン化したもので大変縁起の良い紋様です。所々に吉祥文様の鳳凰が描かれているのも特徴的です。

 

楕円皿は扱いやすいと好評です。パスタやカレー皿に丁度良い大きさで、サラダを豪快に盛り付けてもおしゃれですね！お皿の重なりも良く、棚への収納がコンパクトなのが楕円皿が好まれる理由の一つです。※ひとつひとつ手づくりの為、色・形が多少異なりますのでご了承ください。

About Araki Urushi Pottery

Nanao suffered two major fires, in April 1895 and November 1905, and no records of the past remain. The only thing that remains is a boat chest containing lacquerware with the inscription "Kaei 7, February, Year of the Tiger, Shinjo Masahiro." Looking into the temple's past records, we find that the first Masanori of Ipponsugicho was called Atarashiya, not Araki, and his shop name was Shinmasa. It is said that he was a peddler of Wajima lacquerware from that time.
